I nerve really understood the giant boner for Isco.
Because he's a magical footballer who fits the way we play seamlessly, and when our own little magician is ready to call it a day we'll have the next best thing to step into his shoes.

Spanish publication El Confidencial reporting it.
Oh goody gumdrops, praise the Lord there is only 10 days left to sign him before we can all have a break until the summer, when no doubt the summer madness will have us signing him, messi et al. :-)

Think we might see Garcia in that role, so don`t see point in this Isco farce continuing

Farce? What's farcical about it? He was unhappy with Benitez and sounded like he wanted to get away, benitez was sacked and Zidane has come in. Obviously he's going to see where the land lies with the new management - that's what anybody would do. If it transpires that he doesn't fit into Zidanes plans then we should go balls deep to sign him.
If not then we move on.

Move on. Give Garcia the spot and save the money

Save it for what? You have no idea how Garcia would handle regular first team football yet whereas Isco is someone who has already shown his ability at the top level.

Plus with Yaya, Nasri, Navas, Fernando, Fernandinho and Silva all either looking like they're going to be sold or are past 30, Manu Garcia isn't likely to replace them all.

If Garcia is Good enough then pep will play him. Sergi Roberto and Thiago got game time with a midfield of Xavi, Busquets, Iniesta and Fabregas.

I think Sergi Roberto got 10 games at most while Guadiola was in charge.

I'm hoping Manu makes the step up, especially after I read the recent article about him but there are a few players that will need replacing soon and turning down Isco to save money would be a bizarre choice.

10 games when he was 17/18.

If Manu Garcia got 10 games next year at the same age everyone would be delighted.

If he gets five games next year, I'd be delighted. That's not my point. The guy was originally saying we shouldn't bother with Isco because we've got Garcia and it will save money. I just think we'll need more than Manu to replace the various ageing midfielders we have.

Garcia could eventually replace Silva as he is essentially the same style of player. As for replacing ageing other Midfielders no doubt in time that will be done, but AGAIN they are a different type of player. Save spending money on Isco and use that towards replacing others, that`s all I am saying.
