We can't just go buy somebody for 25m+ and over 100k a week wages just because we have a player out for 6 weeks.

We wouldnt be,hes a long term target who i have no doubt would have been on the summer radar,wed simply be bringing the transfer forward.

If we were interested in bringing him in the summer, getting in him now if possible would be a great move. Gets him aclimatised to the league, full pre season etc

Yes he may have been a target in the summer but imo we deceided on Sterling & De Bruyne instead. Maybe we will go back this summer if Nasri is sold on. Can't see this happening now.

KDB is out for 10 weeks now. If Isco is on Peps list it would be sensible to get him settled in now. We need more movement, energy and a real goal scoring threat in our midfield.
