Thing is Pellegrini likes bringing the youth through is there are 17-18 year old in our youth set up who can play left if the 3
Suarez, Lopes, Pozo, Rusnak, Henshall can all play there

Yeah I like the look of Pozo get them in young if you good enough your old enough

I've just worked out this thread has run to over 1600 pages so far over all its incarnations and splits. 1,613 to be precise. Mental.
Does that include the "alternatives" threads and such? ;)
No. Just the Isco threads alone.
Wow. That's enough flapping for the whole of England to lift out of the ocean.

If Isco signs for Madrid as looks very likely and he did but a few weeks ago want to sign for us .... then someone at City has f*cked up big time, arrogance, complacency, trying to get him cheaper than the asking price ... it's a total f*ck up and this lad has the potential to be one of the very best in the world. £30 million is nothing he could be worth £50 million in 3-4 years time ... it's an investment ...

WHY DID WE NOT MAKE SURE WE SIGNED HIM BEFORE THE U21 TOURNAMENT - ALWAYS A RISK WAITING WHILE A PLAYER SHOWCASES HIS TALENTS IN A TOURNAMENT... ESPECIALLY WHEN WE KNEW REAL MADRID WERE BREATHING DOWN OUR NECKS .... IT MAKES CITY LOOK VERY ARROGANT ...

Isco is obviously one that might be great for future and in that part I'd be delighted if he was signed.

I do, however, have problems with fact that nowadays players for the future are being priced as players for today. And if that is the reason why he is not coming (obviously with fact that Madrid are barely not attractive club to sign for) I'm fine with that.

ISCO is not a player for the future - he is good enough to play in most teams now - he is the star player for Malaga who got robbed against Dortmund in CL QF so is well capable of playing at the top level.

What he also has is the POTENTIAL to be one of the best players around on the planet.

This is exactly the same as Hazard - I'm not flapping but I believe these are both players that we could have bought and sold 3 / 4 years later and made money - IMHO we let both of these players slip through our fingers due to c*ck ups - Both should have been done and dusted before other clubs showed their hands. Thats if it was possible of course as i only have opinion not all the facts

He is good player, can play in most of the teams, not guaranteed starter in most of them too. Might be top class player, don't have idea if he has it to be one of the best on the planet.

All in all, exaggerating post, he is player to pay 20 mil. EUR for, eventually few 3-4 more max with some moderate wages. But with hype around him these days Malaga will ask like 30 and he'll certainly ask some nice wage package. I personally don't think he is good enough to be overpaid.
