Isco

Pellegrini doesn't want him, I've posted the same thing 3/4 times before, straight from the horses mouth, sometimes in football trust is worth more than anything and this is one of those cases.

Sorry fella but if isco was available and wanted to come then tixiki would take him no questions as would manuel. I also find it hard to believe the manager would bad mouth to our fans to be honest.

That is fine mate but he said it, there was also a mod from here stood with me when he said it, not sure if he will back me up but it was the first time round and he basically lied to Manuel. If he comes to this club I would hazard a guess Pellegrini won't be here if/when it happens, trust really means a lot in these situations.

As a side, I would love him to sign but never over Pellegrini being here!

By all accounts Isco is "persona non grata" to both Txiki and Pellegrini

If he came available, and then picks up the phone, calls Pelegrini saying "coach, I wronged you and for that I am deeply sorry, and I'll run through a wall for you to make it up." I'm absolutely certain Pelegrini will reconsider his position.

And if I had wheels, I'd be a wagon.

One last season and another team fought for Isco. After committing to the City, signed the white club, becoming persona non-grata for Begiristain and the Chilean coach.

Just to back this up - Ive heard this too from a pretty decent source. Isco apparently gave Pellegrini his word, then went back on it. As a result, we wont be going back there at all.

Depends on what you have on your wheels. This whole giving your word bull annoys me. Players shouldn't have to do that. All sides should show more class at it. I'd rather Pelegrini had told him, "hey son, I'd love to have you as one of the fulcrum of my squad when I move to City, but Id understand if you make a different choice. And Isco should have responded "Coach, I've played for you and trust you, so this will carry some weight in my decision making, but if I make a different decision, I want to take this opportunity to thank you for all the work you done to make me who I am." Simples!

No one makes a commitment and no one is trying to unduly influence the other. Personally, I think isco made the right decision. Real was always the right choice. At best we were always going to be 2nd choice. I mean, he is Spanish, with an opportunity to join the Best club perhaps in history, and an opportunity to play with one of the 2 best players of this generation, in the Spanish capital.

If Pelegrini or any City fan thought Pele relationship was strong enough to stop him from not only declining the best club "perhaps ever", but also leave his home country, for a country with a language he didn't speakw, a weather a little colder than he liked, and a style of football quite different from what he has always played, then Pelegrini or any such City fan were grossly overrating the coach player relationship.
That said, if he wants to leave Real in the Summer, we should be all in. :)

The problem being the reported angst among the top brass here is because Isco DID give his word that he would sign for City only to renege on his promise.

Nobody held a gun to his head and "made him give his word" that he would sign, he simply went back on it. Was it premeditated? I doubt it but it's the principle. I doubt those in charge of the club approve of being messed around.

Had he waited and weighed up all his options and then made the choice to go to Madrid nobody could blame him, however, as has been widely reported he didn't do that.

It's not that he simply chose Real over ourselves rather he chose City then fucked off to Madrid. Whether it was the right career move for him is irrelevant to those he spurned. The trust he may once have had with Pellegrini is gone, once bitten twice shy; If the club did go in for him again what's to stop him doing the same thing again?

He's burned his bridges and there's more evidence to support the idea that he's had his chance to that of him possibly getting another.

Also, Madrid have absolutely no need (nor desire I imagine) to sell him and I doubt Isco would need to sell him self down the phone to someone.

We have no chance of getting Isco on loan this month and reading the posts in this thread aren't going to go back for him if is made available in the summer.
