i really cant see Barry going unless he is replaced by another English player, the rule that every team must have 8 english players will dictate that, thats why i cant really see any english player going unless they really want to (Lescott maybe) but I could see Garry getting a one year contract and then sign a young english cm. And i wouldnt say that Capoue is the outstanding candidate for our needs, good, but i think we could do better

I thought Rodwell was considered to be the eventual replacement for Barry, always assuming he can stay fit for more than 8 minutes at a time..

if rodwell can stay fit,he will grow into an english yaya,i really rate rodwell

Not sure about a Yaya,Rodwell tracks back.But I do agree,if he stays fit we'll have a very very good player.

It's not English players, it's homegrown - meaning Clichy and Guidetti qualify.

You also don't HAVE to name 8 HG players, you just can't name a full squad list if you name them. ie. we have 7 HG players = we name a 24-man squad list but it doesn't matter because Nastasic is under-21 and doesn't have to go on the 25-man squad list.

Even if Lescott, Barry and Sinclair all left we could name 7 HG players/24-man squad.

My understanding re under 21s is they have to have been in the academy for three year to qualify for the B list. Under 21s bought in from other clubs have to be at the club for 2 years . Nasty was bought last year my understanding is the only list he can be included in is the A list.
