We can't show to these sides that we are a gravy train. We have other targets besides Isco and we shouldn't show our weaknesses to these smaller clubs bleeding us dry. If Malaga want 30, hold on in there and push for a deal at a lower price. City know what we are doing and we know our limits.

is he not worth at least as much as Fernandinho though?

I don't know. Fernandinho has more experience in football and has won more titles, hence he's a champion player. Besides that was a position we needed to strengthen. We shouldn't have paid that much for Fernandinho to be honest, but it's not to say we should be told what to do and bent over backwards from these clubs.

It says here "City's refusal to pay a high price for the player" which surely implies City won't pay release clause (maximum price):

They said in the radio that "City's refusal to pay a high price for the player" is the Real Madrid representatives thought about the transfer saga.

so whos right?

It is amusing this thread, one negative report in the press/twitter and everyone turns into bloody eeyore (Gloomy gloomy)

All these rumours are just that, rumours, until City,RM or Isco say anything that's all it will be.

I will be absolute livid if we miss out on Isco because we won't pay the 30m for him.... after we splashed 34m on Fernandinho.... please tell me this won't happen.... because if it does someone really needs to get fucking sacked at City.

You know we paid 34M on Fernandinho? Did we also pay 200M for Tevez? Are we selective about any wild exaggeration about City promulgated by the media?

Whilst I still think we'll get him, it'd be fascinating to see who our Plan B (or would it be Plan C if Thiago is/was Plan B?) would be.

Spanish speakers can download the podcast. I can't tell you exactly the minute but it was between 8:30 - 9 pm.
