Isco

when one of the greatest ever comes and invites you to the biggest club in the world... i dunno how you say no. i won't blame Isco in the slightest. i was 21 once too.

It is a temporary blip with us not signing Isco. As for this season add a couple more clever signings and get the best out of what we have got then we will be near enough set. Get our Champions League form sorted then we can have a bit more bargaining power when it comes to the top talent.

Malaga's owner confirms Isco's move to Madrid.

Translation:"This is the player's choice, we can't stop him due to the transfer clause. I preferred that Isco would leave Malaga to another Spanish club if he must leave and not any club outside Spain, thats something I'll hold from commenting on"

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has confirmed that the Liga runners-up are close to securing the signings of Malaga midfielder Isco and Paris Saint-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti.

'Now nothing has been signed,' Perez told 20Minutos about Ancelotti.

'PSG could announce an agreement tomorrow which would allow him to join Madrid. We hope that everything turns out well. My coach is Ancelotti.

'The signing depends on Paris Saint-Germain reaching an agreement with Ancelotti and announce their new coach, [Laurent] Blanc.'

On the signing of Isco, he added: 'He has a big chance to be a Real Madrid player because he wants to go to Madrid and Madrid want him too.

'Isco is one of Spain's best players and the coaching team believe he's good enough to play for Madrid. I know he's excited to come. It's the same with me.

'If all goes well, we can announce his signing soon. Always after announcing the coach.'

But he IS better than Nasri. Hence Madrid wanting to pay £30m for him.

How is he?

Because of a single half decent season? Because he did well at the under 21 tournament? Romeu at Chelsea was great at youth level, look at how he's developed at Chelsea since coming here.

Nasri is miles more proven at the moment.

His performances in the champions league show how good isco is in my opinion . You can count the number of performances Nasri has had like that on one hand unfortunately
Which CL performances were these? I watched him a good 4/5 times in the CL this season and he was pretty anonymous for the most part.

Nasri was for a consistent period one of the best players in the league at Arsenal. Maybe we'll see him reproduce that form if he actually gets a chance to play where he's comfortable.

Wrong. I've highlighted the actual key phrase for you to clear up any confusion.

So according to the news, we had agreed to a 24 million dollar deal with Malaga, and all that was left was a decision on Isco's part.

So if Isco goes to Madrid, what that tells me is that their is a 24 million available to spend on a very promising talent. Now depending on who you askm the opinnion on who is the better player and prospect between Isco and Alcantara is pretty equally divided, The general consensus is that both should become WC eventually. It is pretty much cutting a difference between Xavi and Iniesta, Both are class and have their strenghts.

So we missed out on the future Iniesta, but their are rumors the future Xavi is on the block for 15 million. Why not just take 20 of the 24 million and hand it to Barca. See what happens.

Truthfully both will be fantastic, but either will be more than great. But it will be terrible if Isco goes to Madrid and Thiago to United. If that happens, I'll throw up for days :(

Any news?

All grim according to our lovely media,

Isco Madrid
Cavani Chelsea
Richards rejects new deal

They love us don't they?

To be fair Chris Bailey said that its not true Micah rejected a new deal.

Oh good, I'd trust Bails over the other horrible twats.

I think we're going to be having a disco.

Perez is bluffing the fuck out of the media to force Isco's hand. Imagine being a 21 year old walking the streets of Ibiza with tons of Madrid fans coming up snapping photos and asking for autographs. Its enough to make any Blue consider going to Spain, let alone a Spaniard.

i love everyone now dismissing that misssing out on isco is a massive loss!

hopefully the powers that be still have a few signings on the a-list up their sleaves. perhaps missing out on isco might force them to up our bid for cavani?
i still think we are a creative mid or striker away from taking the title back - especially if the rags sign thiago or lewandowski

Until the club let it leak out that we've ended out interest I reckon we're still in the hunt.
