Isco

Sorry my head is f***ed.

I'm sorry, working most of the day, so not kept up with this thread.

Forgive me, but what have I supposedly said, or has someone been claiming fake PMs again?

Posted just the once early doors, and that was to refute City had briefed the MEN or any other news outlet.

In addition, that City had not given up yesterday and Pellegrini was attempting to speak direct with Isco.

Having stated all along the decision was down to the player, and NOBODY could call it, I'm surprised to see I have somehow bucked a consensus?

The few facts I have posted have been entirely accurate.
So no news?
That's his take

There's another aspect......the deal with Malaga. According to some we don't have one

Here's an idea, and it's pretty crazy, but maybe City havent met the release clause as they don't think it's worth spending that much money on an area of the team that doesn't need strengthening, and might prefer to spend it elsewhere now that the team adheres to FFP rules

Crazy, I know.

Not crazy at all, or perhaps they don't think he is worth that much, it's hard getting some people to understand, if they want a player they will pay the price, but they will not overpay, far to many people playing fantasy football
Even City have a budget, and it's pretty obvious that the main priority must be a forward.

Every time we buy a player, the cry is you paid over the odds. Maybe City are negotiating to keep the fee down. A transfer negotiation, who'd have thought it

Guess the club are damned if they do and damned if they don't - as far as some fans are concerned. Personally, I'm happy to leave the decisions to the club - I'm sure they know what they are doing

Don't know that we did pay over but I do know we needed Fernandinho more than we need Isco

Fernandinho miles more needed than Isco.

we only payed 22mill for fernandinho but because the shit anti city media say it was 34mill everyone believes it, the same media were reporting that we payed 22mill for navas also until the sevilla president said it was 14.9mill. we did not overpay

Shaktar official statement said 40m. This is thought to be potential final cost though if all add ons met

Offer 20m and not a penny more other than Silva, Nasri and Yaya.

Leaves an XI of...
...................Hart...............
Richards Kompany Lescott Clichy
........Fernandinho Barry.....
...Navas ....Rodwell ......Isco
.............Aguero Dzeko....

Easy!

4-2-3-2

Would win most leagues.......
Dzeko just strayed onto the pitch. He doesn't like being sub.

Exactly that. Nothing out of City and no briefings.

Going in to a fifth day now since Marca wrote all signed.

Maria Sharapova has that ability to make you forget all about football!

I can't believe what I am reading regarding David Silva.

This.

He's our most important player. Mould the team round him, allow him the space to roam and watch him tear up the league again next season!

Yaya Fernandinho

Navas Silva (Isco)Nasri

Aguero

Boom!

When did we sign boom???

Wtf is this thread? Its like those furry star trek things.

I read one page and then 3 more appear! Ive been trying to catch up since Saturday.

Ditto! So stop bloody posting then....shit, now you've got me at it

My opinion that is all:-

1) Pellegrini principal targets were Fernandhino and Navas that is why we paid the price these were the missing pieces for the squad identified by the "board" no doubt ably assisted by our new manager.

2) It is probably true that Isco would come to City

3) To sooth the RMs fans given the earlier article he is then reported to have made positive comments about RM

4) RM and Malaga are in agreement

5) Isco 's reps and RM are in agreement

6) If we match RMs offer the player comes to us

7) We obviously had an understanding with Malaga regarding a lower fee

8) When RM launched their bid everything changed

9) It seems to me we have asked Isco to be patient

10) Not sure how patient he will be but it seems this week by Wednesday is the deadline

11) Brinkmanship and negotiations are obviously part and part of this deal, do Malaga send Isco to a club where deep down he doesn't want to go, thereby betraying the fans who have supported him, or does he publicly comes out and says I want City thereby weakening Malagas hand in the negotiation and thereby leaving a sour taste in his mouth when it seems he wants the best for Malaga as well.

12) It seems that we are at stalemate, the easiest option is for the lad to join RM and I am almost sure that will happen, Perez has cleared the way in that respect by announcing he is excited about us (RM) and we want him.

13) The amount we pay on him may impact our other targets, is he really what we need given the squad we have.

14) Unless we are allowed further financial flexibility in this deal then my head says he will probably have to go to RM, I hope I am wrong.

Proven to not care about the shirt he plays in.

Are you saying Nasri doesn't care whether we win or not?

Not enough. Otherwise you would see a surge in effort when we're not winning.

How exactly would we see a surge in effort? He tries as hard as anyone, just because he's not flying into tackles or screaming at the ref doesn't mean he's not trying. I really wish people would get over his part in Van Persies free kick.
