Isco

This all seems like some Uri Geller thing. If we all focus on the plane and think Isco, we will be able to will him to city

We're in the strange position now, assuming as most are that Isco is Real Madrid bound, of having no obvious transfer targets. Interest in Cavani ended, Isco going to Real... Tevez with one foot out the door... and money burning a hole in our pocket.

Our squad can still be significantly strengthened and I hope we don't sit back after two very good signings. A striker must be a priority with Carlos leaving. I still also think CM could be improved but with Barry apparently not budging despite Txiki's wishes for the last year of his contract and Garcia unlikely to have teams lining up for him, we're probably finished there for the summer.

Yep. I think 1-2 defenders to give some depth there. And if Carlos leaves, 1 striker. That might be it. Still not a bad summer IMO.

So basically the rags are whoever the individual person doesnt like and the City team are the neighbour that is shite

So if you dont like Barca you HAVE TO like Espanyol
If you dont like Real Madrid you have to like Atletico Madrid (personally I would rather skin my cat alive than support Atletico but there you go)

TBH as much as I want to I don't believe any of this "Isco deal still alive" lark.

The overwhelming evidence is that we were trying to convince Isco to come to us right up until last night, but Pellegrini failed with his phone call and now Real Madrid are just waiting for the right moment to announce it.

Anyway, bollocks to Isco, he's backstabbed Pellers and if he was *that* good I believe more clubs would have been in for him. Let him rot on Madrid's bench, if we come up against them in the Champions League we'll show him what he's missing.

No disrespect to Prestwich_Blue but he's just guessing. He didn't really have any inside track during the Mancini saga and he hasn't suddenly gained one now.

Just looking at the odds on Bet Victor and Ladbrokes. Have I got this right?

£100 on Isco going to Madrid with Ladbrokes @ 2/9 returns £122.22 inc stake
£13.58 on Isco going to City with Bet Victor @ 8/1 returns £122.22 inc stake

So for an outlay of £113.58 spread out as above you can cover both bases and still make a profit, albeit only a small one. Not often you see an oversight like that from the bookies.

What are the odds on him staying at Malaga?

I would sense that from the Malaga chairman's latest tweet (re. retiring the 22 jersey) Isco may have succumbed to the pressure and agreed to go to Madrid, as a favour to Malaga who will more than likely receive more from the transfer from Madrid.

Cringe. Ridiculous to talk of retiring the shirt number of a 21 year old kid, that you've only had for a couple of years, who isn't a product of your youth team or even a supporter of the club and who thankfully hasn't had some tragedy befall him.

Someone told me about a documentary he watched where there was a professor, a cancer patient and an audience. He got everyone in the room to "believe" the cancer wasn't really there, and guess what, it disappeared.

I believe him 100%.

Everyone believe your hardest that Isco is about to sign a contract with Manchester City F.C. ;)

Yep. Football mentality at it's most bizarre.

Why would Perez put his neck on the line and say that Isco was almost certainly signing for them if he wasn't 100%? He'll look like the world's biggest fool.

Because Perez and Galliano have always done things like this. AC Milan and Real Madrid are the "rags" of Italy and Spain.

Do we have Man City of Italy and Spain as well?

Of course,.....Inter Milan & Athletico Madrid ;-)

Look, I only meant to the arrogance of their top men, players if approached to buy will actually pay the club for the privilege of playing for the biggest teams in the country. They also both claim to be the biggest clubs in Europe, and I keep reading that Bayern Munich are the rags of Germany on BM too. Both Milan and Madrid are known by only the name of their cities too.

No disrespect to you either but you're clearly short of a few brain cells believing everything you read in the media is a nailed-on fact.

And if you saw some of the pm's I sent during the Mancini saga you'll have known I was pretty well spot on.

Interesting. Same way, we might be everyone's second team outside England. Those supporters of Juventus, Milan, Inter, Barca, Real Madrid must be hating likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and our neighbours. If at all they have to have an English team succeed in europe, it will be US ;)
