I am not ruling him out being our first choice if you ask me.

Nor am I.
And based on the last season, Willy is the better keeper of them two.

How many full games did you see Willy play last season ? I saw maybe 6.

We've signed him for £4mill + add ons. How much do you think Hart would go for ?

Fair enough, maybe not the most thought through comment in my life. But what I did see of him, maybe a dozen games including CL games really impressed me, and based on those occasions I came to the conclusion that he is at least as good as Joe.

or ...

"Let's all have a disco Navas, Silva, Isco, negredo, negredo !!!"

just with the whole Spanish connection ...

I'm starting to think this could happen.

We are still within our £50,000,000 transfer limit even with the signing if Mangala. If we can get £8,000,000 for Micah, £8,000,000 for Garcia and £8,000,000 for Roswell then we will have £24,000,000 to spend plus our wages will be reduced in line with EUFA's sanctions.

When interviewed in his car last summer he seemed to be happy to be signing for us (which was the intention before Madrid came), he was smiling like mad when they were asking him about City.

Think we will be his first choice should he leave.

I prefer the original with Yaya however if you were to opt for yours, how about "It's a Spanish disco, Silva, Navas, Isco, Negredo, Negredo. (Ne-grey-ado, as you were)

He's talking about Roswell not Rodwell. He's our latest foreign import but we couldn't get a work permit so he's an illegal alien.

We might get £12 to 15m for the three of them. Garcia and Rodwell (I'd guess £7 or £8m ish each) will both command fees but Richards will end up on a free to offset his wages or may go on loan with us paying up to 50 per cent of his 60k a week. Either way I think my valuations may be a tad pessimistic whilst I think yours are a tad optimistic.

Don't forget lads the new TV money is resulting in clubs like Sunderland paying £14 million for Borini...

Is it really that likely that 2 young homegrown players will go for less?

I might be wrong but we sold AJ for £10mi and he wasn't amazing.

Folks are dreaming ... We'll never raise the money from sales of players to be able to buy him ... And what about the impact of another foreigner in the squad? Who makes way form him?

AJ was a good player - particularly as a sub - so MOTD highlights flattered him and for a time he was an England regular so £10m was the rate for him - if we hadn't jacked his wages up (shortly before he left) we might have got more for him. I'm not sure Sunderland think he was worth £10m his form has been patchy since he moved.

First of all, i am pretty certain that the limit is 60M Euros, whatever that translates into pounds as the rate changes.
Fernando 15M E
Mangala 40M E
Caballero 4.4M E
Zuculini (not sure it counts though) 2.2M E
Also not sure whether the Nigerian lad counts

Thats over 60M Euros. We need to sell in any case to reduce foreign players and get within the limit.

Also, based on his displays in friendlies and his injury prone nature, I doubt Richards would go close to 8M pounds. Maybe even half. Rodwell might, b/c of potential and multiple clubs bidding. Garcia's wages are an issue.

Isco, if he comes, would most likely be on loan unless we sell someone big (Nasty, Jovetic, Negredo)

If we're to believe an article in the Independent today then the Willy Caballero transfer is now clearly going to bite us in the ass. Such a waste of an overseas player birth.

I wonder how many of the schmucks who flamed me several pages back over the Caballero transfer would be happy to see Jovetic leave the club so that we could have a solid back up goalkeeper who'll only play in the League Cup all season.
You talk bunk...
