D'oh. There is an 'Or' in my sentence. Some ppl who are called Islamophobic are actually racists, the religion is irrelevant to them. For others, they hate the religion so they are religious bigots. My point was both groups get called Islamophobes as a totally inaccurate catch all phrase.So you call people racist for hating certain aspects of Islam, eg FGM clinics in the UK, antisemitism, persecution of gays i could go on and on. That doesn't make somebody racist as Islam is not a race.
