Istanbul CL Final chaos | City Matters statement (p 133)

Hi all. Sorry for the delay in sharing this more widely.

Hopefully the link works for everyone. Let me know if it doesn't.

By way of an update, the club have confirmed that they have sent the report to UEFA.

Clearly a lot of time and effort has gone into producing this and enabling its issue through the appropriate channels. I've only skimmed through it, but will have a thorough read later in the week. I think I speak for all City fans when I say thank you for doing this, Alex. It is greatly appreciated.

It must be soul-destroying for you knowing that UEFA won't do the decent thing and take full responsibility or compensate fans in any way. It'll be a halfhearted apology and some suit with a shit-eating grin providing an empty promise to 'do better next time'.

Either way, we thank you for your efforts and for doing the right thing. You have gone above and beyond your role on this and clearly care about the fans and their welfare. Thanks again.

Well said. Top effort by @Alex - City Matters Already sent my appreciation in emails to you Alex but want to publicly state it as well. You’ve done a fantastic job to collate all the input and produce that report. And thanks for the continued updates.

Well done to the fans who have taken this forward. I was caught up in the chaos myself and would have welcomed the opportunity to contribute and describe my experience and that of my friend who was dehydrated - dangerous for him given his cardiac history.

The only person on City Matters (or in OSC seniority) who seems to have any real empathy with City fans, fair play Alex

The report by Alex is superb, I suspect if that got a wider audience he would get inundated with even more material.

The way this fiasco has been brushed under the carpet is at best disgraceful and at worse criminal. Those responsible should face the consequences of their ineptitude.

WTAF! That’s an absolute disgrace, how many seats have a partial view. Also notice the huge empty corporate section on the right
That was taken well before the game. Perhaps the corporates were stuck in traffic? - What do you mean, this isn't the joke thread.
