I thought it was Swales that sold it to the guy running the souvenir shop and thats why Franny Lee came up with the new Eagle Badge ?

The impression was that the kit shop guy owned the copyright so the badge was changed under Lee when we moved from Umbro to Kappa in 1997. The kit shop guy denied he held the copyright according to popular hearsay several years later.

Umbro's last kit deal was £50k flat fee for 3 years, not each year, for all 3. That is why they were binned sharpish as soon as possible after an association for over 60 years, and when we went back to them they were just another Nike brand.

Great to see footage of Maine Road with the old roof on the main stand and the Platt Lane stand before it was redeveloped. Really happy memories of the 1977/1978 me and Rammyblues went to every away game, and many a rock concert after the game:-)
