It’s hot

Bloody boiling here in Olu Deniz..was looking forward to a bit of cooler weather when we get back in Monday but it's going to be bloody hot at home...

Leaving the doors and windows open all day in hot weather only warms up the house for the night time, you need to close them all and the curtains/blinds.

Open all windows and doors at 2am shut them all at 7am you get a few hours sleep in between doing that.

In the 70's we had proper summers, with heat and droughts, we got on with it, we also had proper winters, with cold, deep, snow and we got on with it. Now, suddenly, we're all doomed.
Did we ? Everyone goes on and on about 76 , so I’m guessing that was unusual for the time. How hot idi it get in 76 anyway?

No rain from March until September in most areas and 32 degrees and over for 15 days straight. Some areas had standpipes in the street, I remember we did, so water was in short supply. A bath could only be 5" of water or...the slogan was..."save water, bath with a friend".

And then the thunderstorms came, leading to flooding!
