Whatever about the individual names on the shirts coming in, I think it's long overdue and a massive relief to see that the squad is finally going to see some internal competition for a place in the pitch.

I think this has been our major flaw of late.

Don’t know if it helps re Reis - but I saw both him and khusanov jumping into a black Mercedes taxi outside Dakota around 8:30am in the morning on Saturday whilst on my way to picadilly station

That schedule is a tough one and the need for a DM is clear. However, what if the one who suits our profile isn't available? With such an important position to fill who says they're going to be at it from the off as well, if someone arrives. I wouldn't be surprised if we wait until the summer for the right fit.
 
1st stab at next years squad, some players just placed in nominal positions to make it look pretty.

There are 26 in total, HG in blue, not indicated the U21 players. Trust the club have squad compliance nailed down as we dont like breaking any rules...

Looks scary to me, if we get that world class DM (or even better, it turns out to be Perrone) and a new GK (Costo or Trafford ?), we should be OK for the Vanarama...

Carson may well call it a day, Nunes looks useful at RB but expecting pelters for placing him there. Dont know if Bernie is really staying, hoping he does, same with Jack. I think Pep just dosnt want conventional full backs who can only play that one position, so its rammed with CBs.

Reis is John Stones replacement in a nutshell. Lets hope hes as good as advertised.

Love John as a player but we cant rely on someone who now trots out for 45 mins every 6 weeks or so. Hes been a wonderful servant and arguably played his best ever game in the European Cup Final, but he only played 16 times in the league last season and has been largely absent for 3 months again now. Id wager Pep has called time on it and we will ship him out in the summer while he still has some sale value.

The desperate need for a hold midfielder or even some athleticism in midfield - the most glaring need of all - is sadly still yet to be addressed.

Id wager Nunes, Stones, KDB, McAtee and Grealish wont be here next season
