Rumours on Martin's Mancunian Way and LBs YouTube channel last night of £130m going on the books of Leverkusen but with £40m for Mcatee to effectively take it down to £90m.

Leverkusen want £150m from Bayern and want to sell to us but it's whether or not we can convince the player apparently.

As much as I want Wirtz it aint happening.....Im more interested inthe players we are going to get as im not convinced by the likes of Wharton for starters.

i am still amazed that even with our powerful connections we let both Vitinha and Neves goes to PSG.
It’s like a role reversal in fortune.

PSG knows for throwing money around on unsuitable expensive waste to buying top French and Portugese talent and us know for our astute buys of BSilva or Dias or Rodri to spending money on Nunes and as such.

It wouldn’t have happened if Viana was in charge imo.

For Vitinha, because whoever is in charge of transfer decided to pay more for Kalvin Philips. ( you know he had PL experience )

Regarding Joao Neves, the uncertainty of Pep future leads to bad transfer window last summer.


But thank God PSG singed him, because it was two horse race between them & United.

That is not true and it has happened to us multiple times. Jorginho only wanted to join us but Txiki wouldn't pay the amount that Napoli wanted, so he got sold to Chelsea. Same thing with Alexis Sanchez, wanted only us but ended up with the rags.
 
Not sure that we will get wirtz, so hopefully we have someone else lined up - a sort of under the radar type player that will turn into a worldie for us

My thoughts are the transfer from leverkusen will more than likely be Frimpong coming in as walkers replacement

difference is Bayern will pay up - they will pay the money they want and will get him at an agreed price.
bayern are the best German team - and a key to being in the national team (Leroy Sane anyone) - Gernam nationals know this and want to go there. He will push for this as will his father.....

we could even offer more money (and may well do) in terms of pay packet and he would still go there.
 
Haven’t been on this page for a while, but are we linked with a specialist left back yet? The number of goals that have originated (including the FA Cup final x 2 and last weekend) have me incredulous that we haven’t got a solid one in. Gvardiol is fantastic, but when he goes forward we are wide open and have conceded from chances created there again and again (and again)

It won’t matter who plays there if they’re instructed to spend most of their time up front, we’ll still get burned in behind
