Why would Aina be expensive when he only has six months left on his current contract? If he extends his contract now or just before it expires, I don’t see us being interested in him anymore. The main reason we’re after him is that he’s very cheap to acquire either now or in six months when he’s a free agent, and he brings Premier League experience. He’s good, but not so good that we’d pay big money for him if he were to extend. If that happens, I doubt we’d even bother trying to sign him or break him out of a newly extended contract. Besides, we can find much better right-backs who are younger, cheaper, and more talented.

If he isnt going to some random league for the payday, we should be looking to use walker as leverage for somebody we might be interested in in return. As an example, if it's AC Milan, we could secure a favourable summer deal for maignan if Ederson is indeed off.
