Why would Aina be expensive when he only has six months left on his current contract? By the time Forest finds out whether they’ve secured a Champions League spot or not, Aina would already be a free agent
If he extends his contract now or just before it expires, I don’t see us being interested in him anymore. The main reason we’re after him is that he’s very cheap to acquire either now or in six months when he’s a free agent, and he brings Premier League experience. He’s good, but not so good that we’d pay big money for him if he were to extend. If that happens, I doubt we’d even bother trying to sign him or break him out of a newly extended contract. Besides, we can find much better right-backs who are younger, cheaper, and more talented.
