But Mamoush isn't an out and out striker so we definately need someone as well as Erling ffs!I don't see Delap returning especially with Marmoush signing. Other areas still need attending to first and foremost.

I think Delap would start alongside Haaland in a lot of games. Very different players.I’d be amazed if Delap joins, he could start for 80% of teams in the league with his talent and the lack of strikers in the league. He isn’t going to come here to sit on the bench mate.
Signing on fees alone could set him for life…Can't really see whats in it for Delap,
As far as I understand buy back clauses Ipswich have to sell if we want to buy and Delap wants to come, but if Delap doesn't want to come we cannot then buy him. We can only activate the clause with Delaps consent.
Doubt Pep sees it that way, think his alternative to Haaland will be Marmoush /another false 9, and not chance he plays Delap and Haaland in a front 2.I doubt even more if Delap would be interested when there will be lots of other options. Unlike Gonzalez, who is more than capable of playing as an 8 next to Rodri.Haaland has played 4,131 minutes, 3,745 minutes, and this season 3,077 minutes already. This trend is simply unsustainable. We either sign someone like Delap or we await the inevitable. Presumably Gonzalez wouldn’t have signed if he thought he was going to be sat on the bench once Rodri returned, so persuading Delap that he has an opportunity here shouldn’t be impossible. Whether the management can be persuaded to see otherwise might be a different matter.
You're probably right, but I think it would be in our long-term interests to have greater depth in attack, especially when the supporting cast weigh in with so few.Doubt Pep sees it that way, think his alternative to Haaland will be Marmoush /another false 9, and not chance he plays Delap and Haaland in a front 2.I doubt even more if Delap would be interested when there will be lots of other options. Yeah honestly the only way I see us getting another striker in is someone of the elder age group decides to come. Similar to Llorente that Spurs had a while back but I don't actually know if there is anyone like that kicking about.Doubt Pep sees it that way, think his alternative to Haaland will be Marmoush /another false 9, and not chance he plays Delap and Haaland in a front 2.I doubt even more if Delap would be interested when there will be lots of other options. Wouldn't know never seen him play as a 9, and depending who we buy as a 10 we still might not. If we do though I think his finishing looks better than most of the players we've previously played as a false 9 so I'm happy to wait and see. Expecting Delap is very unlikely, his only positive is he's homegrown, no chance we get any other centre forward too as we really don't have room in the 17 man free list.Marmoush is completely wasted as a 9.

I understand some might want him, but IMO you only need a passing interest in Peps methods to know it's not very likely at all. That's without taking what Delap wants into account.
Now we’re talkin
It's possible, I'm wrong more than I'm right. Still I'd be very surprised.Maybe Pep has realised that Erling needs rested more and there is plenty of game time for Liam and he takes to the role?
And what’s the evidence of that? Its hilarious people actually thinking it’s a possibility but fair enough.Maybe Pep has realised that Erling needs rested more and there is plenty of game time for Liam and he takes to the role?
Before signing Marmoush I could see why. Even then it’s hard because they can’t play together unless we completely change our system. Now there is no chance. And what’s the evidence of that? Its hilarious people actually thinking it’s a possibility but fair enough.

Walkers not had given a good pass all season, why start nowWe are gonna deactivate his pass and not let him in.
Like I say, it’s smart business. Everyone comes out of it well and the Ipswich will have gone into knowing this was a possibility. If they didn’t they’re incredibly naiveMadrid did it with Morata - brought him back from Juve for a season then sold him for double what they paid.
He’d be a much better false 9 with a better midfield behind him. Foden won the league playing largely as a false 9 and there’s no sign of him doing too well in the role at the minuteMarmoush is completely wasted as a 9.
