I've been thinking about this and I genuinely think we might be better off letting Marmoush, Foden, Bobb, Doku and Savio continue to develop as those goal scoring wingers unless we can bring in one so undeniably world class that they're likely totally off the table (vini / kvara level).

Rodrygo might be an exception to that, but I'd rather we got some full backs and KDB replacement.

don't forget adding Rodrygo, he can play in middle

of course on the note he joins us
 
Think we want a solid midfield with wingers that can either play wide or let full backs overlap and they move into the middle as well.

So we could have Marmaoush and Bobb invert with let’s say Wesley and Kerkez bombing past. Or we could have Savio and Doku out wide but with support from full backs to offer space but also play balls in to allow them to run at defenders more than just creating there own space.

You have a solid 3 behind all of that like Rodri, Reijdners and MGW who can run for days, hit people and direct tempo we will be fine.

Kev is my favourite player of all time, in my opinion the best player I have ever see in a city shirt and instrumental to our most successful period. He will never be replaced like for like. He could find anyone, anywhere, anytime. But he’s fading and that’s noticeable against teams that stick 11 behind the ball against us.

We need a new shape, new pace & new tempo but with the same mad genius behind it all.

The reason why Pep has been so dominant at City is because we have changed when needed to and this is our next change.

Don’t be sad it’s gone, be thankful it’s happened.

I could see Doku going if someone came in a bid an acceptable amount.

I can’t see the club shopping him but wouldn’t say no to some cash, especially after those comments from Pep and a lot of good players here.

Savio is young and had a good first season despite us having a bad season and him having some vacant performances

Not bothered which one goes if we going to bring in a much better player
 
Recently we've played much better without wingers and for the most part without Haaland.

I think we went down the winger line to help Erling but maybe it's that they're not that good, although they are young, or maybe the possession based game is so ingrained in Pep and the midfielders. Certainly thought last night we played better with loads of players with good control buzzing about.

So for me it's 2 good fullbacks to provide the width and Rodri, González, Kova and a new Kevinish type.

Doku would be more in doubt with Rodrygo coming in.

Maybe but Rodrygo has started 20 this season the right, 9 on the left so it's up in the air how it plays out, over the years he's definitely played more from the right. Seems unlikely we're setting up competition for Marmoush who already feels like one of our most important players.
