Likewise got over it much faster than I thought on the night. The main thing for me is it seems to leave the season as a disappointment as it was the last game yet we have had an incredible season. I mean at many points in 80s and 90s and 2000s we dreamed of a cup. Any old cup. And have now owned the carabao. Still have soft spot for that post 1976. And champions for the third time in four years. Dreamland. Never thought I’d see the day.

all I ask is a transfer reaction. We must replace Sergio. Chairman’s comments encouraging but let’s see. We will have to smash our record but it needs doing. No messing about.

Quite agree...we never look at things and class ourselves as being "entitled"...far from it and we all realise where we've come from. At the same time we mustn't make the same mistakes as a few years back and rest on our laurels. We will have to break the bank at some point and clear out some deadwood, so this summer could well be an interesting one.

We need to build on this and not sit still. A couple of high profile signings could well be on the cards.
