It was always going to happen

Completely agree, these people are professionals and money is the main reason they ply their trade as most of us do.They are free to look for better contracts as they wish but City will always be bigger and it is up to management to manage them in Cities best interest and only Cities best interest

I recently worked with Tony Adams, and during the conversation, he told me a story that started with, "I was driving into work", oh, what did you do before you played football I asked?
I am a professional football, that's my work.

There you have it in a nutshell.

Zaba, Vinny, Richards, Milner, Barry, Hart... I feel these players love the club, and love playing for the club. I believe Yaya loves the club too.. don't pay attention to what agents say.. It was only two weeks ago he expressed his desire to see out his career with us.

I am struggling to pick out many others who aren't just there for the £s though, but that will change with time. Once we cement ourselves as a top European side and start bringing through some really promising young lads from the academy, I think the mentality will naturally evolve.

no sergio?

has anyone seen the mail website today about the rangers player who has been tricked into saying he only went to ibrox for the money?wonder how many of ours would admit that if they thought it wouldnt go publc

It's probably fair to say that a number of players wouldn't be here if it wasn't for the money , Karen .. but then again you could probably say that about any club ...... i wonder how quickly Christiano Ronaldo , for example , would have got his arse to Real Madrid if they'd only offered him HALF of the wage he was on at United ???

And i don't suppose that Eden Hazard has joined Chelsea because he likes to be handily placed for a few west end shows ..... more more likely that they offered him AT LEAST the wage that City and United supposedly did .... with a little bit extra thrown in so as he could live comfortably when he (and his agent) reach old age!

You missed out the part where you said to yourself,oh it's in the sun and the fail, rolls over and drops off to sleep.

Yes, it's in the SUN... not long ago, they reported that it was 100% guaranteed Pep Guardiola was signed up to be the next manager at City. The next day, it was announced he was off to Bayern. Say no more. I don't believe a word they say any more.

-- Wed Mar 20, 2013 8:34 pm --

Yes, it's in the SUN... not long ago, they reported that it was 100% guaranteed Pep Guardiola was signed up to be the next manager at City. For the most part the players are whores, the agents are pimps, the chairmen/owners are the brothel owners and we are the johns......

Or it's just football.
