I'm fucking dying on this hill. The manager picked kids to take penalties regardless of the team they play for.
The rule of thumb is that the players who feel the most confidence on the night take the penalties, irrespective of age.

I always think it must double the pressure when you’re brought on as a specialist penalty taker. Anyhow, the best team won.

I just hope we become a bit more proactive as a team after this. We’ve seen twice now, against good teams in the later stages of tournaments, you can’t try defend a lead for ninety minutes. You need to be able to get hold of the ball and keep it, and you need midfielders who are footballers first and defenders second to do that. Rice and Philips are both decent but playing them both together is so negative.
Easy side of the draw twice makes it even worse

I doubt Phil would of missed if he were to take one, I know he wasn’t a sub. Saka is old enough to play so he’s old enough to take one. Southgate to blame though. Oh and rashford.

Rashford tried being a smart arse and sanchos was shocking.

They were brought on to do a job and failed, I do feel picking Saka as last pem taker was southgates fault and his fuck up
This. Rashford show-boating,Sancho,the Great I Am Look At Me.Saka will carry the burden of this for a long time.
