Items you never see nowadays

Still have a Watney’s Red Barrel pint pot from the late 60’s

Never stole anything In my life, apart from pint pots when I was 17/18. Didn't count as stealing, as nobody said anything when my collection started to grow. I still have plenty today . Using a nice carling black label one now. What a nice hobby that was, collecting cut glass labelled pint pots, kids don't know what they are missing nowadays.

Yes, I must confess I still have a decent collection of beer glasses lifted during my younger and more reckless years. Some nice foreign ones as well, including a one-litre Holstein beer stein which weighs a ton. How the fuck I got that one back in my hand luggage all those years ago is now a mystery to me!

Until the day she died in the mid-70s my grandmother never had an automatic washing machine: she used a dolly tub, a ‘posser’, a mangle and a rack suspended from the kitchen ceiling for drying the wet clothes. Are these items/is this process now defunct or do eco-warriors in Camden or Kentish Town still preserve this venerable ritual?

Back in 1974 I had a 1965 Mini Countryman(the one with wood strips on the rear).
It had sliding windows and a piece of wire with a wooden handle to open the doors. And like most cars at that time it was riddled with rust. It would be inconceivable to have a 9 year old modern car in such a rusty condition but in the 60s/70s it was all too common.

Stuart Hall - he was always on TV when I was growing up but you never see him now. Also, that Rolf Harris bloke was on telly a lot but you don’t see much of him these days either. Very strange!
