To be fair to Hanson I actually think that Mancini did want to walk away last year but was told that Marwood was going and he stayed - maybe I'm a bit naive but I do think Mancini said him or me.......?

-- Mon Apr 08, 2013 1:24 pm --

Doesn't mean I don't think Hanson is a dickhead tho'!!

Bottom line with most press its generally just has beens or never weres spouting their opinion on stuff they know very little about or knew about when they played 20 years ago cos the game has moved in, if they were of any use or value they would still be employed within football rather than making a living leaching of it.

OMG. WTF. They're all against us!!!
When the pain settles and you rest your head, of you not have anything else to worry about?
I literally cannot imagine being that arsed about anything someone said negative about anything of mine other than my kids. Anything else is laughable.

Funny, then that whenever the 'agenda' gets metioned , you come flying out of your tree with wings widly flapping and talns out ..

Doesn't sound like someoene who's not arsed to me .....

Turn on sky as I get in and I am subjected to a detailed breakdown of rags global brand and their aims to become a billion pound in profit. It is just embarrassing they spoon feed their audience this drivel continually and it has accelerated recently due to little old City.

Every Tom.Dick and harry is in the press is bigging them up and knocking us down. Disaster for City they scream this could finish them, the rags always come out on top la la and repeat. It works in England it's what the rags need to hear to massage their egos.

Lap it up lads it's all for us. In five years we've achieved more off the field than they have in the last forty. We're not going anywhere we are very powerful. The rags have built their little empire on belittling and mocking everyone else and bullying others into submission.

They can't do it to us we have the same name. When they go away on holidays now and are asked where they're from and they few that say Manchester they don't hear George best bobby Charlton any more they get City or Utd?

The way we won it last year was the best marketing tool ever. Drink the propaganda in it proves we've arrived.

Th emedia is virulently anti-City. It is not paranoia it is a fact.

It isn't subtle: eg the choice of pundits. BBc 5 Live put up Kit Symons up against Cow Pat Crerand. All Sh&t Kit did was stick the boot into City saying it isn't a happy camp.

If they'd put Buzzer up against Cow Pat that would hae been a match..and good radio...opportunity missed to have good radio...opportunity taken to slam City.

I'm not worried though. All we have to do at City is to keep our nerve. Softly, softly catchee monkee...

It's fucking terrible isn't it ?

Part of the fun of the build up to a big game is reading about it in the paper and seeing little things on telly and thinking I can't wait to be there. But when 90% of stuff is so obviously biased against us it just makes you not wanna read it.

Great article from the estimable Henry Winter to balance it out a tiny bit though

I don't think the press coverage is any worse than should be expected. We're about to play a derby, 15 points behind them. What are they going to write? And I think United, and Fergie in particular, would have been getting just as much stick if the positions were reversed.

Its going to be like this for the next few months. Better get used to it, grin and bear it, look forward to next season.

You can't be serious. When ? Where ?

Great article by Winter. he is a United fan you know, but that rare thing - a fair one.

The angle will be that utd were complacent as they already have the title in the bag. In reality that is probably as well as they've played all season

Lets see tomorrows papers... 7:30am sky sports paper review should be interesting.
