It's anti City Day!

Re: BBC Live Update Stream

Former Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel on Twitter: "@SwimmingHobbit: @Pschmeichel1 how did it feel lining up against united for the first time?" Worst ever feeling

"#mufc to win 2-1 #derbyday #No20"

wish the **** never played for us.

It's a shame he feels like that, we must have done him a favour when he was at a low and all washed up when nobody wanted him. I suppose that goes foe his son as well.

I think his bitterness is about his don. i think he thinks kasper should have been our goalkeeper and not Joe.
He is wrong, but he is a parent, so what do you do.

It's fucking terrible isn't it ?

Part of the fun of the build up to a big game is reading about it in the paper and seeing little things on telly and thinking I can't wait to be there. But when 90% of stuff is so obviously biased against us it just makes you not wanna read it.

Great article from the estimable Henry Winter to balance it out a tiny bit though

I don't think the press coverage is any worse than should be expected. We're about to play a derby, 15 points behind them. What are they going to write? And I think United, and Fergie in particular, would have been getting just as much stick if the positions were reversed.

Its going to be like this for the next few months. Better get used to it, grin and bear it, look forward to next season.

You can't be serious. When ? Where ?

Just had that twat James cooper outside Manchester cathedral and he said he was at what was the heart and centre of the city with old Trafford 2-3 miles away and the etihad 3-4 miles away.

Just a subtle dig to get away from the fact they are not based in Manchester, hate the way this red wanker is always talking city down.

Paranoid maybe but they have made me this way.

They are TRAFFORD.

the 'ignore it, it's only the press' attitude is laughably simplistic

the media control politics in this country, why not sport? adug didnt choose us because they felt sorry for us, this is about raising their profile and enhancing their reputation

we are attempting to take on 2 juggernauts, the press and mufc ltd, - on the pitch we've had our victories and have made huge strides forward, off it the club need to get their head out of the sand and stop being bullied by certain sections of the media
