Let the haters hate. Let's see where all these keyboard warriors are at the end of the season.

Unless we win every game 5-0 then unfortunately these types of threads are never going to end

Football is becoming the new 'x factor' , 1 bad performance and everything gets judged, if you lose because one player makes an error or a ref makes a mistake or heaven forbid the other team just played better on the day ! then its the managers fault.

it really is boring, but all fans are the same, arsenal fans will have a minority of morons wanting Wenger out as he hasn't won a trophy for 5/6 years, Chelsea fans will want Ancelloti out soon as he's clearly lost his managerial abilities because last year they won the double ''c'mon carlo, sort it out ! '' Spurs fans will probably jump on Harry's back once there team gets knocked out of champions league and they dont make top 4 ... it's endless and the media play on to the negatives so the numb skulls like the idiot who started this thread buys into it. with Sky, Forums, Newspapers, every minute detail is highlighted to a ridicoulous degree

Years ago you would turn up to a match, not really care about the fitness, formation, the personal lives behind each individual and just support your team through thick and thin, sadly those days are over

great post

People hoping we get knocked out in the latter stages of cup competitions!!! Jesus tonight, I'm 31 ok, how many quarters, semi's and final do you think have I seen????

I'm not bored yet ok so I want us to win every game. They are professional footballers. I used to go to school all day and then play every night for more than 2 hours and more on weekends.

The OP is correct, the football is shit and has been for weeks.

Certainly not good enough to sustain top four at present.

Hopefully we get knocked out on Thursday night, and we can free up some of schedule.

I would agree that the sheer number of games of late has taken some of our edge off, but the notion that we were 'shit' yesterday is nonsensical. We dominated completely, created a fair few chances and won the game.

We're set up to be solid and retain possession. It's not a bad place to start, and one the feted Mou most definitely ascribes to. If we score early, the opponents have to come out and we usually get 1 or 2 more. If they score first, we find it hard to shift gears, but we've only been beat three times since Christmas.

It's a system that needs refinement, but it's a good base to work from. Better than being a wholly counter-attacking team, or a long-ball team. Possession play is usually lauded, I don't know why some Bluemooners have such '442, pace and width!' tastes.

City stats for yesterday

Goal Attempts - 18

Attempts On Target - 11

Corners - 11

Possession - 68%

Yeah.... shit that wasn't it ........ Oh I loved the days when we had 45 shots on target and 85 % of possession......... and we still won fuck all.

The OP has a point and admittedly i had felt that way before..but its important to remember that we are a team in progress. And the times that we play boring football are just blips.

*And we play better football than the rags. Seen some of their games, almost fell asleep.

First some of you say you are just waiting for Mancini to lose like a rag and then you say you hope we get knocked out of the Europa League as to free up some space, what is it exactly you lot want??

You disagree with Mancini and then agree with him when he says our schedule is packed, up to the point where you would risk bowing out of the competition. That is why I am glad to have him at the helm, he is not giving up, we are marching on, God help us if any of you had any sort of power, by now we'd have nothing left.

What's next, let's lose to the scum as well to free up some time so the players can enjoy their afternoon tea?

Yeah, the football recently has been really shit. It's been that shit that we have won TEN & drawn one of our last eleven home games. It's been that shit that we've scored THIRTY goals in those games & conceded just six. Then there's the shit (unlucky actually) away performances at Villa & Manure plus the defensive masterclass at the Arse.

The football may not be Barca-esque but the results are far from shit. Or would you rather lose 4-3 every week playing flowing, gung-ho football?

No reason at all why we can't sustain top four, even playing as shit as we are. I believe we will.

Although we pissed it yesterday i can't understand why we keep playing Viera as he's well past it now...he has been banging in a couple from set plays but he just looks slow and lazy on and off the ball now and usually ends up holding our attacks.

bring back Stuart pearce ,
the good old days of going from jan to may without 1 prem goal at home !
but just staying up, those were the days.

He's done well for us in recent games, and although past his best he has 4 goals so he has made a good contribution

I know he gets caught in possession, but he is still quality on the ball....a bit like Rooney
