I've gone to the trouble of meeting mods and posters from here at matches up to 2-3 years ago, some as far away as Wembley, had a City shirt printed with my username, sneaked into the Cup semi final and got the Mirror to print a photo of me just so that I can wind up City fans that Gerard Pique is a potential target.

I am absolutely convinced that Kev is in no way on a wind up and with LT confirming hearing the sane rumour it makes you wonder. A couple of nights ago I suggested on the "Its quiet" thread - and I did say I was clutching at straws; I wonder if city could have gone back in for Thiago as I noticed he wasn't playing. I was told he was injured. A better prospect than either DDR or Martinez.

As for the ones who dont rate Pique ? - what game are you watching he's awesome

Looking at your post count you don´t seem to be the type to go in for schoolkid type wummery and I am inclined to believe you but in the context of what´s been going on in this forum and the lack of reliable news it´s a case of "live by the sword........" I hope you are the bearer of glad tidings but nobody on here asked you to put your head above the parapet. I can only hope your source is reputable.

He started his career as a defensive midfielder, he could certainly play in a DDR/ Martinez role
