Then we found a little bar and thought we was safe, the locals seemed ok and wanted to talk football, next minute one lad comes in tells the friendly poles to fuck off talking to us, then about 20 skin heads built like brick shit houses came in !

We was lucky as fuck to get away there was loads waiting outside for us as well.

I've never felt so happy as I did when I got on that train to Berlin the next day.

We managed to find the square after a two hour trek, passing every pissed up Pole in Poznan that day, only to be greeted by more.

Haha ! I know exactly how you was feeling walking back that night ! Every away trip since I always get on that bus !!!!
 
Night before the Poznan game me and one other mate decided, after a load of beer, to leave the throngs of blues and go for a wander

Big mistake. Went in the wrong bar and was immediately surrounded by about 2O Polish rum looking skinheads. Still don't know to this day how we managed it but we talked our way out of a very dodgy situation. There was one particularly big lad who seemed to be the ringleader and he spoke good English. Got very worried when he started ranting on about how the English abandoned Poland in the war!!

Think if we'd been a bit more lairy or if there'd been a few more of us, we wouldn't have ended up walking out of there unharmed!!
 
we were in poznan when city played grocklyn (sp?) a few years ago, totally agree it is dodgy and a very poor people reside there. overall i found the poles really good people but they have knobs just like us! its the same as any other city in the world
 
there were Croatians that started to throwing beer garden furniture on Irish lads drinking with Poles on the other pub, Croatians ran away around main square just after that hence the low number of arrested representatives of that nation. Our lads sticked with BIG and some of them got arrested together. After all Irish and Poles changed bar and drunk together till 4am or so.
We have nothig against Irish, we have mutual respect (similar history, religion etc.)
Its great atmosphere in Poznan but with 50k or 80k+ (who knows, so far hoard to tell) Irish plus Croats, Italians and many other nation heavy drinking its hard to not see any trouble. You have troubles in bars every friday/saturday night all over the world.

The Croats are hardly a bunch of Slavic orthodox zealots, Catholic and anti Russian so surely fit right in with you lot .... just ignore their Germanic love in as a "my enemies enemy etc " scenario.
 
They were attacking Irish not us so...
Fans relations between us and Croats are neutral at the moment.
 
why don't they just hold a european its a knockout championship to decide the winners of Poland,Ireland and Croatia,give Stuart Hall a ring
 
ultra- i have met a lot of polish people in england and have been to poland 3 times so far...i have loved the people.

do the polish hooligans realise that at the moment poles are liked admired and respected the world over, but, if things turn nasty in your country then you will be tarnished (like the english were in the 80's) and you will be treated differently...in fact very poorly by euefa, foreign police and foreign fans.
