I will be delighted if this window brings in Van Persie, Thiago Silva and Bale. With dzeko possiblyu going to milan in a swap deal for silva.

Love the thought of Nige having RVP's company for the whole tournament, hopefully convince him/ find some dirt to blackmail him with.

Nige will prob be part of any RVP deal if he doesn't sign a new contract

Why would u not aim for that?

Liverpool once conceded 13 goals in an entire season, think 77-78.

Says a lot for that City team we finished second, two points behind a team which also went on to win the European Cup that year?

City should have got closer to Chelsea's 96 record points tally when you start to think about it.

Two points against both Fulham and Sunderland.

A point dropped at Sunderland away, Swansea away etc.

If we get the players in that we want then I think we'll rewrite the history books next year in terms of points and goals scored.

I think thats hard to tell really we should of demolished both those records this season but for 2 months something went completely wrong and the worse part is I dont think anyone actually has a clue what it was

i think we`d take up the inter interest rather than let the arse have him!

How the hell are they getting him so cheap? He could be the best left-back in world football soon.

It wouldn't of been so cheap for the likes of us, hence the reason why we backed off, along with his desire to sign for Barca.

You can bet your bottom dollar though that Barca's also getting him on the drip.

When you say 'drip', do you mean that they will be paying in installments over a the length of his contract?

Milan bang in for Dzeko.

Hate dealing with these cunts.

So we are offering him for sale or he has instigated a move?

Would have thought that deal would be linked to us finding a replacement?

Not a Scooby!

I'm more fearful that Ibra suddenly comes onto the radar if Milan want to recruit Dzeko.

Can I claim ITK status if it happens?

;-P

That would be some level after conceding the least amount of goals for 2 years straight. What are we aiming for a complete blank out
Why would u not aim for that?

Chelsea conceded 15 in '04/5. Liverpool conceded 16 in '78/9 but over 42 games so that was fewest per game.

City should be aiming to conceding fewer than 20 league goals. There is a trade-off between playing attractive, attacking, high-scoring football and defensive solidity but if the former involves spending most of the game in your opponent's half, you can have the best of both worlds.

IMO 15 goals conceded will never be beaten in the premiership again. but again this was a 2 horse race season. We have 6 highly competitive teams now instead of 1 or 2

Disappear for half an hour and its all fucking change.

So looks like Dzeko leaving either to Milan or Bayern.
That frees up cash for either Silva or RVP. If it is Silva then we need a striker to plug the gap left by Dzeko, seems people are saying Sturridge available for 10m. So strike force would be Tevez, Aguero, Sturridge and Balotelli well that seems an evenly balanced foursome. We are still in for Bale I assume and Martinez. If we sign RVP instead of Sturridge we need to lose another of our players so that could be Nige allowing Martinez to take his place if we can prise him out of Bilbao. Bale is a one off.

So outs Nige and Dzeko if we are getting RVP.

Ins RVP/Sturridge, Silva, Martinez and Bale. Doesn't seem to me to be tinkering with the side that seems quite an adjustment. :-)
