We are pretty threadbare if Kompany and Lescot are unavailable. I think this talk of Martinez who can play either centre midfield or centre half is probably the type of player that would improve the squad immensely. Are Yaya and Kolo both off to the African Nations cup again for 6/8 weeks again in early 2013?

There's talk of Yaya taking a break from international football and missing next years ACON to concentrate on club football. Still, Martinez would be a brilliant signing as a long term replacement for Barry and also as cover at centre back if Vinnie or Lescott are out.
