How the hell are they getting him so cheap? He could be the best left-back in world football soon.

It wouldn't of been so cheap for the likes of us, hence the reason why we backed off, along with his desire to sign for Barca.

You can bet your bottom dollar though that Barca's also getting him on the drip.

How are we didling today ? Looking forward to cheering on anyone but England in the euros

The palms are getting damp and the excitement is building...it's nearly Tolmie time...

Jesus Wept

You have to admit that nothing happens for ages, then he posts, then there is a flurry of activity, then it goes quiet again...fwiw, whether he is ITK or not (personally, I think he is...and as a "not itk" I am grateful for any snippets while we wait for the new season to start), he is one of the few that can pretty well hit the nail on the head as far as info goes...not all of it comes off, but hey, no-one except the players/agents/clubs involved know for sure what is going to ultimately happen at the end of the day...

I must admit that I'm not as excited as I normally get in the transfer window , probably because our team is pretty much complete. Can't see anything happening till after the euros now

Bale seems certain with Alba on his way to Barca. I don't believe he's interested in sitting another year without CL football.

That's the problem bob, we've been spoilt up to now with the acceleration of transfer dealings to get us to this stage, all it needs now is tweaking.

Although it's not exciting it's nice to relax and know we're in safe hands

This is the advantage on missing out on Alba, that's for sure.

It must be an area that Mancini is looking at because i know 100% that we looked and enquired about Alba, the stories about Bale filtered after the Alba knock back.

I believe we could get Bale at around 110k and £30m. Im not as linked as you are to these things but I do know City are quite against breaking their own transfer record for a player not named Messi or Ronaldo.

Bale is on about 65k according to most reasonable outlets. I think we could have this deal wrapped in a few days if Harry walks. Most outlets say they will be meeting soon. It's quite possible Harry will be coaching a national team after the Euros. I also don't believe Levy feels like theres any need for more players, especially top shelf ones.

Well the scum have apparently offered 22m that's right 22m for Modric this will cause unrest and Modric to push for a move and they might get him for around 28 to 30m!

We should start the bidding at 20m for bale and announce it to the world

Does anyone else see Luka Modric leaving England? At 26 its uncustomary for the Rags to deliver the final payday for a player who could earn up to 140-170k a year coupled with 30m for the fee. If Sneijder does move this summer I could see Modric at the San Siro. I also could see him suiting up for Bayern. I don't believe Tottenham will disburse their top stars throughout the Premiership and I also don't believe anyone outside of the UK values Bale at 30m.

I know i'm repeating myself on what i've posted in the Spuds thread on the general footy forum, but Levy is all over the place at the moment.

Regardless of what Redknapp says that they have a good relationship in reality they don't, Levy has been looking at replacing Redknapp for a while now with Rodgers being his first choice, now that's been taken away from him it's a coincidence don't you think that Redknapp is now applying pressure on him for a new contract through the media?

To answer your question richards, it all depends on who the manager is for next season, it's possible but a lot of things need to happen.

so our top target is and still will be RVP which looks like if anything happens it wont be till after the Euros!

looks like we can all sit back and enjoy the Euros without sweating over transfer targets.

so nice to be in this position knowing that we just need a few tweaks before the new season and knowing that all is in good hands to sort this out.

Believe it or not, but Bale currently earns £27k a week basic at Spurs.

One of the reasons for his ire, they have refused to look at his original contract, even after forcing Modric into signing an improved deal last summer.

He wants to earn big money, but he also wants to play on the big stage.

Whether ours is big enough, suggestions are not to rule us out.

Talking of the Euros, i've just been down and put a bet on RVP to be top goalscorer @10/1, worth a nibble at them odds.

Me too. Any idea if its straight cash or could we possibly offer Dzeko and cash for Silva?

Could well have been the real reason why Mancini has made a couple of Milan visits.

It has to be straight cash, or involve Thiago Silva.

Nothing else.
