Doubt spurs would sell bale for £32m

There is no guarantee that Levy would sell Bale under any circumstances. Remember his attitude re the sale of Modric.

He might do after missing out on the CL. He could sell one player and that would fill that large gap in income.

This is the hope. Bale said a few months back that he'd have to consider his future if Spurs didn't qualify, which translates as 'I'm leaving if we don't qualify.'

We can offer him the chance to play with world class players, play Champions League football, challenge for honours and triple his wages. And for the money we'd pay for him Spurs could revamp their squad completely.

I bet Levy is kicking himself for holding onto Modric last season. With the £40m Chelsea offered they could have brought in a permanent world class striker instead of Louis Saha and a permanent world class centre back instead of Ryan Nelsen. I don't think he'll make the same mistake this time round.

Which is why I was glad when Chelsea won the CL, because Bale >>>>>>> Hazard.

We have a bit of power on our hands though as Spurs want Adebayor, he will be used as a make-weight no doubt!

I like the idea of using Bale through the middle aswrl as out wide.

-----------Aguero-------------
------Silva-------Tev/Nas---
-------------Bale---------------
------Baz/DJ--Yaya------------
Clichy---Les--Vinny---Richards
-------------Hart----------------

That team has width from wingbacks, has De Jong holding and falling into defence whe wingback advances and leaves space. Yaya and Bale going forward would be absolutely lethal. It would speed up movement of play from back to front and ease the pressure on Yaya having to be the ball carrier. Bale could switch to the flank if need be during play.

He's a step up from Hazard imho, I just don't think he's getable unless we swap Ade, Johnson and cash. He'd change the dynamics of the team for the better more than most signings could. Think of Bale booming forward on the break and with Yaya, Silva, Nasri, Tevez and Aguero to feed. I'm moist.

LOL!!! Bale as the play maker involving a team including Silva and Nasri!! I would love a toke on whatever you are on, you mad bastard! :-)

He's not a playmaker, he is a ball carrier and 3rd ball runner. Watch us play and you will see sideways passing by Baz or DJ, until Yaya foes forward and passes. Bale would take ball from our half into theirs and provide play to Silva, Nasri, Tevez, Aguer etc. We struggle with this the most.

Nasri and Silva are playmakers and forwards. Don't see how Bales inclusion interferes with this. We are merely replacing one of our front 4 with a deeper role.

Simple.

-- Sat Jun 02, 2012 1:46 pm --

Read that again. Your taking the lineup ad formation too literally. Bale would be almost level with Yaya and run forward. He'd stay infront of De Jong whilst Yaya does whatever. Silva and Nasri drop deeper in play rather than stay forward.
