A very good deep lying playmaker who could rotate with Barry, and was very highly rated at Dortmund. De Rossi could be impossible signing, and with Modric looking likely to join Real Madrid I can see Sahin being pushed out.

Nabbing Sahin after an injury hit season would be an incredible coup. Still adamant that unless they now think he's a crock he's in Reals long term (at least in Real measures) plans.

If Real get Modric and play him like Spurs do (deeper midfield role), then Sahin drops one more step down the pecking order with Alonso already there which is how Sahin could become available. Sahin was amazing at Dortmund and would be a shrewd signing for us.

Was thinking the same myself. We are desperately in need of a Pizarro type player in Europe. Most of the elite teams we'll be facing have a player who can do that.
