Barcelona preparing a monster bid for our Kompany according to media in Belgium.

And Anderlecht have asked for Abu for loan next season.

Kompany will stay til the end of his career as long as City would want that.
If we was to believe everything in the media that means aguero, yaya, silva and kompany are leaving.

let's wait for sheikh to get bored, lol

Pedro would be an amazing acquisition.
He is young , only 24
Has played in barcas youth teams , so is adept at tika taka style.
Can cross high and low with immense accuracy.
He is very fast. but is intelligent with it, using it to exploit space defenders making him a nightmare for fullbacks.
And is an excellent finisher, pep even said he was second to villa at finishing in training.

He would be an OMG signing IMO , the lad is just pure class.

OMG JC , IYO,WTF is tika taka style?.

pedro would be an absolutely immense signing.
pacey , tricky and a truly brilliant finisher.
no chance they'll sell him

Is he anything like Pedro? :)

No chance of getting him I'm afraid... unless the departure of Pep had some unknown effect on him.

What about Pedro Rodríguez, are you just guessing or..?

Educated guessing, using a loose definition of 'educated' :) Tomie has been alluding to 'Barcelona' in a lot of clues, he also talk about 'LA LIGA not being able to hang on to their stars' (not specifically Real) in the post about the hunter becoming the hunted.

I thought (not my guess initially but a great one from another poster) that 'men without hats' surely referred to not having been capped by his national team though, which Pedro has.

The Barca players that haven't, like Tello and Cuenca, would hardly be considered 'drop the bomb' level signings though.

Think it's strange how tolmie mentioned forget bout all the top la liga stars but didn't mention iniesta. Still think it would be an impossible signing, but if only!

I'm sticking my head up over the parapet and saying it's Iniesta.

Why? The Barcelona clue obviously. But after a long hard trawl on t'interweb, I think the the hunter/hunted thing has different connotations.

Hope I've come to the right conclusion. If I have, then there's another tale to tell that happened to me and Mrs Bouncer at the last game of our FA Cup winning season at the Etihad.

Perhaps not, but Barcelona have some good wingers breaking through in to the first team and they have sold players like Bojan in the past (he would have been ideally suited as the replacement when Villa got injured) and have a problem producing CBs; they had to buy back Pique.Puyol's almost at the end of the line and the new CBs that came into the first team set up last year have failed to establish themselves and a particular problem is the fact players like Andreu Fontàs are converted Defensive midfield players and might have difficulty playing to level that a Barcelona CB has to. My point is that Barcelona need to strenghten their defence and should be in the market for a LB (Jordi Alba most likely) and 2 CBs and may also look for cover at RB and a more conventional striker, and may need to sell some of thier current players to finance those deals.

His just bought a new house in hale barns I no its no the be all and end all but papers have just gone though. And no I'm not an rvp seen in etc

I think if we sign three more world class players we will be on the same level as Bayern definitely, maybe we'd need more time to gel and play as a team to reach Real's quality. I think we're pretty close to Bayern as it is. We can certainly beat them if we played them next year as it is.

I think we need a better centre-back. Lescott has been immense for us at the back but he doesn't look comfortable with the ball. Roberto would want a ball playing centre back in the Champions League. I can see Lescott struggling in the CL. Martinez would be good.

As others have said a deep lying playmaker who's good on the ball wouldn't hurt. If we have got a chance on either we should go for De Rossi or Sahin. Both are attainable I would've thought. Both great on the ball and both competent in the art of defense.

At times last season we played too narrow where we struggled to break teams down. United play a wide system that allows their wingers to bomb forward, we haven't got this option. If we bring in a quality winger(s) then we'd be the complete team and have a complete midfield.

I'd be delighted if we managed these three signings but I wouldn't be surprised if the players we want to go for aren't available. The top players usually are hard to get. Hopefully our lure of Champions and our ever growing stature as a club will help.

I think uve cracked it there, never knew they called him that. I'm quite sure the clues were pointing towards iniesta now.

Looks like we have a winner!

That's the only site I can see that calls him Shadow Hunter though (in English at least) so might this be clutching at straws a bit? Unless Tolmie stumbled across the blog by chance because it doesn't come up in the first 10 pages of a Google search for his name.

First ten, quitter.

Said we should buy him last week as he's the world's third best player. Also mentioned he's not catalan. Quite a few on here said not possible. Well let's see.
