Don't get me wrong mate, RVP is top quality. I just personally feel sticking with Tevez up front will be more harmonious on the pitch as him and Sergio look like they could potentially be the best strike duo in the world, not forgetting on his day, Tevez is as good as anyone and in my opinion better than RVP.

What seems attractive with Van Persie is his cost, obviously due to him having only 1 year left on his contract, but in terms of his wages - he will demand 200k a week as he and especially his agent will feel that is what he is worth.

Sometimes you can buy for the sake of it and I personally would only be signing a CB backup and maybe a Yaya backup, apart from that I believe our squad now with a winning mentality can go on and conquer for years to come.
I constantly see this "Sergio and Carlos are brilliant together" argument and outside of Norwich what else have they done?

They hardly ever start or even play together at International level either.

Apart from that little stat at the end, 4 games and 10 goals between them (5 at Norwich)
Aguero then scored a hat trick against Wigan when Tevez played (he missed a penalty and was pretty poor) I don't see how that answers my question as the majority of those 7 minutes discussed that Norwich game?

EDIT: 2 of Sergio's against Wigan came after Tevez had been subbed as well

I thought Gary Neville did a pretty good job at summarising in that game why they should be playing together (of which they have barely had the chance to yet). You think that kind of interlinking play was a fluke or something?

I didn't say that? But they only produced it in one game, so when everyone says "Oh, Sergio and Carlos are amazing together/one of the best partnerships in Europe", it doesn't make that much sense. I'll reserve my judgement when they do it consistently.

Give what a rest, my opinion?

Fbloke just posted on Twitter that Barca have transfer listed Pedro. I would have him here in a flash if true. I've had a look around on the Internet but can't find anything. Has anybody else heard if this is true?

What exactly is your opinion? You have managed to point out that Tevez and Aguero have hardly played together and I suppose that you aren't excited by the prospect of them playing together?
