This is a bit random but has a club ever offered for a player solely to unsettle them?
For instance.
Let's say we offer £18million for Mata knowing full well Chelsea will reject the offer, but also knowing it has a chance of unsettling Mata and therefore has a chance of affecting a possible rival for the title.
It would be frowned upon yes, but surely it's not illegal is it?

Not illegal. I`ve just lodged a bid for Mata and have put my entire catalogue of razzle on the table. Let`s see if Roman is really into 80`s porn with birds from Nuneaton.
