There will be bombs. And the defcon video has to mean something too.
Third time we get what we want too. Wasnt is said when we was going to make our third offer for Agger?

We can forget Agger, if we do sign him, we can't play him in the Champions League unless Liverpool get knocked out by Hearts.

Yes we can... he hasnt played in any european competition yet, just the qualification game.

We better sign him sharpish as I don't see Hearts causing an upset.

We seem to be the only club who gives a flying fuck about FFP, it's all very strange.
In my opinion everyone forgets that Carlos staying is like spending £30 mill plus.

Nah mate, everyone's well aware that he's a big bonus. However we were definitely intending to spend over 30mil on Hazard so once that fell through I think most people thought and expected that we would still make at least 1 significant signing. De Rossi would have been 30mil or so as well.

Just seems our strategy has been a bit strange this window, meanwhile Chelsea just keep on spending and once they've signed a striker as well will be up at the 100mil level.
I get you point mate, but I believe if Hazard came, Nasri would of been shipped to the bench or out on loan, DDR would of replaced Nigel, if Edin was to go he would be replaced, these are players replaced by choice not necessity like Chelsea. There are no gaps at city just cover and some room for improvement in certain positions. If we can't fix these issues to our desire why bother.

for me, Kolo is decent cover/replacement for lescott

however i think that is the problem, i dont think he wants to be used in that role...he wants to start most games and that is why he wants out

id rather have boyata than savic....he is just a disaster waiting to happen....Rm needs to admit to defeat/mistake with him; he is never going to be good enough!!!!

Savic is better than Boyata mate, I actually think Savic can and will improve into a good player

Boyata was class against Chelsea at rb a few years ago and was solid in the two derbys he played whereas Savic has practically made mistakes everytime he has played. I dont no where you get the idea that Savic is better.

We have 3 distinct weaknesses in the squad imo.

Winger with pace
Deep lying midfielder with decent passing ability
Top quality central defender

We have shown interest or bid on Hazard, De Rossi and Thiago Silva - all players of the top grade in those respective positions, each would have cost approx 30mil.

We may well end up with Sinclair, Rodwell and maybe Godin to cover those three positions.

See where I'm coming from?

I see where you are coming from - at this point and from the little we know its difficult to see a cohesive transfer strategy this window ... not sure what bids we have made for sure but from the unconfirmed reports they look a bit random.

sorry but we will have to agree to disagree on that one between savic and boyata.........

but i dont think savic has what it takes to be a top class centre half......even with time

wow. you've had a few too many.

Neither Savic nor Boyata have the basic tools to be good enough to be anywhere near our squad.
