how do you know it wasnt mancinis first choice ?

Maybe Sinclair was the only replacement for Johnson but it was quite clear we went after Eden Hazard.

Mansour has given City good wallet full of money to spend this Summer, the job of distributing correctly over the correct players has been awful.

We need a first team central midfielder and center back. The rest would be on squad players. It only seems the squad players are the ones we are signing.

If we don't sign any first team midfielder and Yaya or Barry gets injured then we are screwed in my opinion. Nastasic seems to be a good option for a center back so it looks like we have covered that.
We don't need a first team CB though do we (though we have just bought one by the looks of it) and we have tried everything to get DDR.

Fair enough, any reason why? I would disagree, purely compared to the type of player he has been after in the past.
Because he already has Silca and Nasri as his preferred choice to play there and as such he wanted to replace AJ with someone with pace that would accept a squad based role.

True, i suppose it's hard to get a top player in that position who would be content with rotation.

Call me sad mate but I a have not given up on De Rossi just yet. I am predicting something to happen tomorrow.

I'd wank myself silly tbh.

You still leave me with the same dilemma hough Nip - right or wrong on a particular player, do i trust the judgement / instincts of Mancini or you ?

Despite your belief if your own footballing wisdom I'm still going with Roberto

Do you think Sinclair was Mancini's first or second choice when it came to replacing Johnson?

Before others remark, I don't know, but compared to the caliber of player he has brought in before, I'd be surprised if it was.

I don't know what Mancini thinks but I know what I think. I reckon he's a decent replacent for Adam Johnson.

Do I have faith in Kaldoon, Mancini and the management structures of the club - yes.

Do I like the fact that Sinclair gets tons of stick off City fans before kicking a ball for us - no.

As for Savic, he could well have turned out good but didn't go well with him. Looks like Roberto is now happy for him to go and that's fine with me. The fact that you 'called' it before Mancini isn't relevant.

A decent replacement. We should be bettering players that come in from those sold. Think we sold him too low too.

I have faith in Khaldoona and Mancini too.

I don't like Sinclair criticism either, I rate the lad but not as highly as some do. By me not saying he isn't as good as Johnson is not being critical. It is merely my opinion. I have not once posted any negativity about his play. Not once.

As for Savic, I posted on CB Cover thread iirc. Me and Kneville were chastised by others for saying he was dire. We were told to 'trust in bobby' (which I do) and they claimed Savic was good because Bobby kept hold of him and reatained his services. Now he is going am I all of a sudden allowed to be correct.

I'm not questioning Bobby on our purchases so far but I am certain that he is not happy. I am sure he wants a CB and CM of talent that is world class. The world doesn't stop with Agger and De Rossi either, just because we can't get them doesn't mean we simply stop looking. There are others of similar ilk out there. Song is a cracking player and went for £15mill, some on here criticised when I mooted him and now plays for Barca. Some claimed Modric wasn't all that, he has now gone to Real Madrid. Going off tangent a bit but my point is clear, just because people don't agree doesn't mean I am wrong.

I would say first.
I would say his first choice was to keep AJ but after some talks they decided he should move on. Now Mancini needs a winger and an English one at that to fill the quota. Sinclair has one year left and says he will be interested, job done

I make that bang on to be fair.

If De Jong is allowed to leave, which is looking nailed on, i'm confident it's because a replacement is lined up. Be that De Rossi or who ever

There's no way we would go into the season with only Yaya (ACON), Barry (injured) and Rodwell (inexperienced) fighting for 2 postions.

Iv'e no problem at all with anything that you say here.

People will have different views and expectations.

Given the team that we've already got, and a renewed Tevez, I am pretty happy with Nastasic, Sinclair and Maicon if they go through ok.

Anything after that would be a bonus (a welcome one too)

I agree and I hope the board are letting De Jong go to make room.

I do however think we'd be better off re-signing De Jong on an improved contract than buying Garcia.

Lets just hope it's De Rossi.

Well folks this could be out lot for this window, it's been quiet we all got that one right
i think you might be surprised mr boss man!

hmmmmmmmmmm

I doubt it but who knows
i still think we`ll get de rossi to be honest, with bobby saying anythings possible until the window shuts i still think we in there.

Hmm, I don't really know how I feel about this window so far. It's true we have a great team already. Having said that all the other big teams (Rags(RVP), Chelsea(Hazard/Oscar), Bayern Munich(Martinez), Real Madrid(Modric) etc) have brought in world class players and we haven't. Now that could be deliberate, maybe we only needed some squad players. But it seems odd that City who are the EPL Champions and in the CL (with one of the most progressive development and facility projects in the world) can't attract world class players. So I must assume something is holding us back. I would have liked to see an Alonso/De Rossi type added to the middle of our team to be honest. On the plus side I'm glad we are shut of a few of 'the inbetweeners' as I call them.

Rodwell
Sinclair
Maicon
Serbian Guy
Richard fucking Wright
Hopefully a deep lying midfielder

Cant say I'm that thrilled with these signings but there is some potential, we will see.

So far we looked to have sorted our squad player issue out but we need a first team central midfielder - a world class one.

Whenever Yaya or Barry go missing, we look fragile.
