Cant say I'm that thrilled with these signings but there is some potential, we will see.

So far we looked to have sorted our squad player issue out but we need a first team central midfielder - a world class one.

Whenever Yaya or Barry go missing, we look fragile.

Agree with that - the QPR game highlighted it. We need someone who can step into that breach

I don't know mate. I said in the Garcia thread that we need a world class central midifelder and if Garcia was world class, he would get into the Spain squad. He cannot even justify himself as a noticible substitute, yet Benfica want twenty odd million quid for him? Just madness.

Personally think we can do better but it looks like we might be getting a little desperate.

Glad this window is nearly closed it has been an unusual one to say the least. Thing is we have spent nearly 40m and I would have just prefered one signing of that quality and would have been satisfied. Ah well trust in Mancini hopefully he knows what he is doing. :-((

And where will they fit in the 25 man squad, go check your squad lists for CL and Prem, yes we have spaces in prem squad but not CL. If one of these players arrive Maicon will be in CL squad and so will Sinclair and so will Nastivic, so who is are you going to say can't play in CL when using man management everyone in the squad should have an equal chance of starting every game. Oh and before people start I have already had to exclude NDJ from that list to get Maicon in.

It ain't money, it aint FFPR but naming a 25 man squad on 1st September will happen. :-)

We knew that Yaya was going away to Afcon and the discussion all summer was who we would get to replace his presence.

Javi Garcia is a De Jong type midfielder. So it appears we will once again have no answer for Yaya's absence, assuming no last minute miracle for DDR
