A player that wants to be a second fiddle will not last long in Pep's City side, unless you are GK all outfield players need 100% commitment to give their best in training or they will get benched.
Think you missed the point. Rodri is a guaranteed starter in all of the big games and most of the bread and butter ones (villa, Everton, Brighton, etc)
Whoever we bring in will have to accept that they’re only going to be considered for cup games, prem games against relegation teams or potential injury cover

Yet if it proves effective in terms of winning the two main prizes, then what’s to say he won’t persist with it and buy other players whom he can mould more effectively?

Pep is to say. As he has done a number of times already.

The club plays along as they’re so close to the media, and the media needs the clicks, to sell, be watched… why not keep it going until we can’t no more. The excuse is always ready: “we couldn’t compete”
well, the state owned club has unlimited money, ruining football.
how are we supposed to compete with them? how could we possibly pay 350M wages when they were paying 150M?
and then the loud mouth Tebas will start his own annual rant.

True, but as I said, I’ll be interested to see what happens in the summer if we win the CL and League with the current set up.

Probably still ho ahead and sign a striker, I would guess. Fingers crossed we get to find out.

I would imagine it would mean we were in an even stronger financial position to spend on a striker.
True. Yet we already have the wherewithal to get whomever we wish, should they be appropriate and willing to come, but after honing our system for the better part of two seasons, playing with an out-and-out striker might require the other players to readapt. It will be an interesting decision.
