I think Pep might try Grealish as CM to take Bernardo's role.

As we saw last season, Grealish was below average as LW.

Maybe next season Pep will try to fit his 100m player in a position where he can be more useful.

He might try him there but he hasn’t done yet and we’re losing a specialist

Then with Jesus and Sterling leaving we lack depth up top if Grealish is pushed into midfield.

At a certain point people will realize the math doesn’t work and someone will need to come

I have a bad feeling if Bernardo goes and we get 80 to 100 mil. we go in for Rice

In the unlikely case , Barca are actually able to meet our demands , I am fairly certain - they might try and get a replacement this summer - may it FDJ or ideally Bellingham. Think BVB will sell if offered 80-90m

while the club does try to make sales wherever possible - don't think we have interest in being the Net Spend Champions :)

The thing that makes Bernard unique is his unparalleled workrate, complimented by skill set; it’s so hard to replace and grealish, on previous showings, not only at city, doesn’t have that engine…. Ball retention granted but Bernardo is the water carrier that makes Rodders excel and tick, grealish isn’t the answer to that imo!

IF barcelona THEMSELVES are saying "Frenkie De Jong is worth 85m" and THEMSELVES are saying "We prefer bernardo silva and think he's a better player", then by their own logic there is absolutely no reason for us to demand less than 100m. I am very sorry to bernardo, but he should be told that 100m or he's staying, and that's it.

I agree. We shouldn’t be low balled here. He still has 3 years left on his deal and if he so unsettled, why did he sign that deal to begin with. Why would he want to go to that barca club anyway, they are trash. Why would Frenkie de jong want to go to United besides money???
