It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

The number of Italian league flops is a heck of alot more then the successes especially at City its a much slower league where players go to extend their career.
Leao does not fit into any of this. Pace is no issue as he would be one of the fastest players in the Prem. At 22 he's certainly not looking to extend his career. Can you give me some of the flops you're referring to? Salah came from Roma to Liverpool. Henry came to Arsenal from Juventus. I'm sure there are flops, but there are also some big successes. IMO, Leao would be one of those.

Thanks for putting me in my place. I will learn from this lesson and also never complain about a professional football player playing bad ever again, since I can only complain if I'm better than than him at playing football. Must send my apologies to Savic, used to give him criticism all the time when he played here, didnt realize I was only allowed to say something if I'm better than him. Thanks again, you learn something every day.
Well done you

Full Back Situation: A few reports coming out that City are after a first choice left back before the window closes but no firm names yet.

Bernardo: A rogue report from Spain suggested City had agreed to sell Bernardo to Barca for €55 million. This was soon shot down with a more reliable report saying City wanted at least £80 million.

The window closes 11PM on 1st September (23 days left)

I’ll post one of these most evenings around this time on this thread

You are welcome.

Please note this isn’t a summary of what is in the news, what I reckon or what will definitely happen. It’s only a summary of what is currently being discussed on

Sergio Gomez in has been discussed extensively today.

romero is an hack, i dont know why people outside of mouth breathing barcelona fans pay any credence to his stuff
I would think we would have known by now Barca twitter is just FC BULLSHIT.

How many times did they say they were getting Haaland just this year?

Our online fan base is so fickle, they believe pants on fire lies instead of using some common sense.

Using our brain is now a lost art for the majority of people.

I know Cucarella was our #1 but I'd be astonished if behind closed doors we don't have a #1 leftback target. The season's already started ffs. We're not United!
they clearly don't. they are weighing up options which is understandable

You’re right. I only left him out as it appears he isn’t a City signing…more one for the CFG and anyone nipping onto the summary probably would only want to know about City signings. If it starts to look like he is meant for us I’ll include him.

I just watched Esteemed Kompany’s latest vid with Nedum.

Nedum explained the advantages of a small squad for City and the mentality of those left out. It’s a good watch.

Ned thought that with no more departures an extra two players would do us. A left back obviously and the other position I don’t think he made clear but I took to be a centre midfielder….perhaps because McAtee has been loaned.

Shame there aren’t more people like Nedum doing punditry…concise, eloquent and well thought out views. Always considers all angles. They don’t even have to be City fans. They just need to be objective and give insights the way Nedum does but it’s all nonsense for the most part from so called pundits. Hence why I usually don’t watch anything outside of football or highlights.

This was enjoyable.

He does for espn FC. Couple days back this question was asked to him and he said this exact answer. Very level headed and great to hear his point of view.

So I’ve heard. I just avoid anything with pundits. It’s great for my mental health not to hear nonsense from people who either haven’t done their research or give emotive responses that doesn’t tell me much besides the fact they have nothing between their ears.

Cheers anyway, I’ll start to look out for anything he’s on while on Espn, when I can.
