It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

No their not, they have been watching us play and need to know why we paid more for Grealish than the dippers did for Jota and Diaz combined.
Why do we have a problem understanding the concept of ageing.
KDB, Gundy and Walker all in their 30's.
Dinho gone.
No left back and no attempt since Mendy to even buy one.
The dippers are on our tail, but shouldn't be if we didn't keep playing our key players into the ground and actually bought players we needed.
£100 million for Grealish, let that figure sink in.

With hindsight, it was unfair to use the term, 'ignorance'. Perhaps like you, I was, and continue to be, horrified at the £100m price tag. What I was trying to stress - albeit a bit clumsily - is that, irrespective of that, it's not helpful for some to be writing the lad off as a busted flush. As one of ours, we have to hope he pushes on and goes at least some way to justifying the fee. As I freely admitted, my faith may be misplaced and it doesn't happen. Regardless, let's take a view next season by which time it's hoped our play will have adapted to suit an orthodox striker and his contribution improves as a consequence. If Grealish is still failing to meet expectations then, I'll be first in the queue to suggest we move him on.

Price has a lot to do with it if better players are bought elsewhere for a lot less.

And what if our club transfer policy and scouting is better than some guy on online forum. They already proven again and again that they know what their doing, it's really arrogant way of thinking that we can do better than professionals at the club you know the club that one of if not the best well runned club in the world right now?

Why would any city fan give a fuck what the dippers pay for anyone. If you haven't noticed, they have won a fraction of the trophies we have in the past decade, so this amazing transfer strategy they have is clearly working....

KDB, Gundogan and Walker all in their PRIME I think is what you meant to say. Unless of course you believe that now they are 30+ they are useless?

We have the best left back in the world in Cancelo and a very capable one in Zinchenko, what more do you want?

The dippers are on our tail because they are very good, still behind us though.

What we paid for Grealish is irrelevant, we wasn't going to go and spend 33m for 3 different players instead. We wanted Grealish and thats that.

Could really be in a situation where we're a right back short again

Well reading all this, we cannot really expect Haaland to come in and score goals. he really will need 12 months at least before he can be trusted with scoring goals. getting used to PL, to the way we play, we are lucky if he score 5 goals next season.
He's still young enough to play the season for the EDS, he'll break records for them.
