He can, but having watched him do it for England, you wouldn't want him for long.

Don't need CB right sided cover. Freak to have Walker, Stones and Dias all out same time.

Phillips can play centre back, can't he?

If Zin stays and Cucurella comes in, we are covered left side.

It would placate Laporte and Stones, with Dias more comfortable on the left of the pairing.

If we can get £60m it would be a great deal all round and would wish a very decent person all the best.

Imagine getting £120m just from Chelsea for Raheem and Ake?

Ake had 16 starts last season. He leaves and we’re in real danger of having the season derailed by injuries. Last season we were without Stones, Ake, Walker and Dias at one stage. Having been one less defender would be incredibly risky.

Wonder how many were at CB v LB. I agree that I think having a 4th CB is important behind Laporte, Dias & Stones. Just not one that someone is willing to pay £50m for, you sell that on and replace for 16 starts.

Wouldn't waste the money. We have three world class centre backs and one of them can play both sides of the pairing, far better than their natural side.

Ake was only bought because we thought Stonesey was going to go.

Would rather give dippers £60m for Salad.
