it took time for Ake to settle and it would seem stupid to sell him now - circa £50m seems a lot but we’d struggle to replace him for that. He needs game time in lesser games and cup games. I wasn’t convinced by him when he arrived but after last season he’s a keep for me.If we did sell Ake, i think we would need to replace him as it would be a big risk going into the season with 3 cb's especially with the injuries records of Dias and Stones.
If Chelsea offer £45 - £50m then I think City will accept.

Our defence is a position of strength, why weaken it when we don't need to? If we're losing Jesus and Sterling, we don't need to sell elsewhere as that will bring around £100m in. We also sold Torres for £50m in January.
We'll be in 4 competitions next season, there's a world cup in the middle of the season and you can make 5 subs per game with the change of rules, which gives further opportunities for the squad. We should be going in with a bigger squad not a smaller one. Ake was improving last year and I think he'll kick on again this season.

Not sure, Madrid are not Barcelona. They tend to pay fairly and quickly for targets they want, they don't fanny anout like their small club rival.
Can’t believe - if media reports are true - how many signings Barca are linked with… given they have so little room for manoeuvre on salaries.

I do wonder if we'll wait a season for Nkunku? Supposedly has a €60m release clause from summer 2023. That deal would be right up our street.

If you look at the city squad on paper, take away jesus and sterling from our attacking options and it leaves us with 4. mahrez, haaland, alvarez and foden. Couple of injuries and things start to look very light.
