I think Mahrez could be frightening this year, with a proper striker in Haaland now up top and occupying defenders, I can see mahrez getting a lot more space / more 1v1s, and he is arguably the most deadly in those situations (more so than Sterling or Jesus would be).That’s a fair point about the energy required for our pressing game - and it may be that diminishes a little as he gets older.
But let’s be honest - we have so much of the ball, his upside in what he brings to our play for the 70/75% of most games where we’re on the ball way outweighs any advancing limitations to his pressing.

He played 15 times by the time he left at the end of JanuaryAh now. Mangala didn’t play once that season and was sent to Everton on loan. He wouldn’t even have been tenth choice centre half under Pep.
