It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

A lot of the younger guys are past playing at the rising levels and there's no room on the 1st team so normally most would go out on loan...someone correct me if I'm wrong but there's a large restriction coming into play greatly reducing the number of players a club can put out on loan...so it would make sense for City to sell these youngsters with buy back and sell on clauses for now...yes, no?
Thought the new loan rules didn't count under 23s

It'll affect Chelsea more so but won't have much if any impact on us?

FIFA's new loan rules to be given final approval at next council meeting; FIFA wants to implement rules to prevent stockpiling of players; Clubs will be limited to six players loaned out starting from 2024/25 season; club-trained players or players aged 21 or younger exempt from rules.

More likely Phillips would play CB. He’s done it before.
It’s style size interpretation for most, him being smaller etc, his ability to play out is yet to be seen also, he’s more the old fashioned destroyer…. Rodri though, for me, is going to be the best the prem has seen since errrr dinho (: he also, as evidenced at points last year, is becoming one of the best readers of the game around, dispelling the myth around pace…

Phillips I’m guessing will surprise a great deal, just because he’s yet to display his entire repertoire doesn’t mean it isn't in the locker, which Pep obviously thinks it is; anyway, I’ve missed a hard tackler like this since de jong, not because we as a team has missed it but the impact of atmosphere is discounted, it raises the decibels when it gets a little flat!

I think he’ll be great backup for Bernardo as well as Rodri and hopefully more rest will mean we see a bit more Bernardo magic like the Liverpool match instead of the purely industrial performances we saw in the second half of the season.

Should be a very solid signing.
