Still would be a very cheap option and (Club Trained as well) and any better centre backs than Mee wouldn't accept the 4th centre back slot. Or if they did accept it would be more expensive than normal.

Ben Mee is a decent/good shout actually.. has always liked him, the way Burnley has played has done him no favours but Ive always thought he was a pretty decent footballer actually, left footed CB. City product. Wonder if he wants to go somewhere where he will play more though, he will only ever be a emergency option here and play minimally.

I am not worried about this transfer window anymore once I saw how this fine gentlemen is relaxed. 
Ake is but wants more game time. Considering who is ahead of him it would be very difficult to get that amount of time. He has missed crucial games last season where we were forced to pick an aging Ferna and a half fit Laporte.
We aren't getting any real quality 4th choice centre backs if or when Ake leaves.

The other way is to buy De Ligt and demote Stones to 4th choice.

Like everyone on City matters I suppose we should leave it to Pep and not have opinions.
However even he has lost patience with our wastefullness of chances that fail to hit the target never mind score.
Hence Haaland s arrival and perhaps several departures.
