It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

I don’t know if it was maturity or a football intelligence thing. I’m only posting my opinion of why Pep didn’t trust him enough as he’s never spoken about it. My guess was Sane would give up posession by making the wrong choice at the wrong time and it was that inability to learn that frustrated Pep.
If thats the case I don’t think its about maturity or even application it may just be a skill he hasn’t got that Pep needs.
Way over paid for City...

Just saying you never know how a young players career is gonna pan out.
Gordon is average at best and has not shown any sign of brilliance. He is just a young Everton lad playing for them so naturally he is going to be overrated by them.

Harvey Barnes is a much better prospect

Two threads got locked today. Let's not forget, been an eventful one for transfers.

If Sterling goes, I wouldn't mind us going after Anthony Gordon at Everton, fine young player
Surely it would be more productive to play our own youngster in Palmer than buy this lad though? Gordon looks a fairly decent prospect, but he has been given game time. Maybe if we actually give our lads a chance like he has been, they'll step up to the mark.

Sources close to the Etihad Stadium have recently played down speculation linking Manchester City with a swoop for Bayern Munich wantaway Serge Gnabry.
However, it still remains key for City to replace Raheem Sterling in case he leaves as the England international’s unique profile sets him apart from ball-to-feet wingers such as Riyad Mahrez, Jack Grealish, Phil Foden and Cole Palmer.
It is advisable to keep an eye out for all developments, but it seems likely at present that Manchester City will eventually complete a deal with Brighton for Marc Cucurella and trust Cole Palmer to take a major leap in first-team proceedings next season.

He also isn’t in the same bracket, potential wise… he has been thrust into a team that their fan base has become overly excited about due to the mediocrity on show, held his own, granted but I remember the ponytailed lad doing the same a couple of seasons before; he has heart and graft but the skill set of palmer? Not even close imo
