Yeah. We could perhaps have accepted losing away to RM but to be 5-3 up on 90 minutes ……..

Pace is everything for me, if you have talent to go with it, it's devastating.

Walker at the back is not the greatest at times but he has such incredible pace it gets him and us out of trouble so often.

Sterling has pace to burn, he terrifies defenders, they can never relax, peak Kun was the same, devastating acceleration always gives a player an advantage.

Pointless might be a bit strong but pace without technical ability in our forward line just doesn't cut it. Sterling has pace and great technique but should finish more often than he does. Walkers pace at the back is essential to our high line

Would prefer the same. Jude and Tchouaméni are monsters , these two boys are beasts and city need to make such statement signing, young , dynamic world beaters!!!
These boys would boss the opposition for many years to come. It's about time city signed ultra dynamic players, am tired of seeing slow, lathergic players that are too slow to track back, too slow to react, to run or even tackle!

In the front line I think it's all about decision making gundogan and Mahrez arnt the quickest but have been our top scorers in the last two seasons if I'm right (could be wrong). Teams set up crazy defensive against us and it doesn't matter how quick you are if there is no space. Acceleration and the ability to make the right run at the right time is key. Most of sterling's goals havnt been when he has sprinted passed his man its when he snuck in at the back post and made the intelligent run when he leaves his man for dead and shows just how quick he can be he usually has a brain fart in the box.

Haaland, Sterling, Alvarez, Edozie, all quick as fuck. i'd like a quick winger in if Raz goes though.

Long said that we need extra legs in midfield (Foden/Grealish/Bernardo/de Jong?) and that would allow us to utilise the length of the pitch and allow quicker players to exploit the increased space up the park. If we evolve in that direction, losing Sterling this summer might not be the smartest of moves.

Id love Sterling to stay and see what he can do with Haaland in the mix tbh, even it means taking a cutprice in Jan or a free move.

If the intention is to continue playing so high up the park, then his time is arguably up, especially if he’s looking to leave. If, however, our play is to evolve and his pace and versatility are again required, then we might as well see what he can do next year.

I think he's the one that has the pace others dont right now, (or the 5-10yrd acceleration rather than pace). Always good to have a mix of weapons in the box.
